Mount Duneed Passive House Roof, Armstrong Creek
We were thrilled to team up with Sam I Am Builders on one of their first passive home projects in Geelong’s growing Armstrong Creek area, Mount Duneed. This 2023 new-build aimed for an impressive 8-star energy rating, embracing Passivhaus principles with features like structural insulated panels (SIPs) and a heat recovery ventilation system. Our job at Pro Flow Roof Plumbing? Deliver a roof that matched the home’s eco-conscious design with top-notch quality.
This project demanded precision to protect the home’s external thermal layer, a key part of its energy efficiency. We worked closely with the builder, using custom battens to ensure a flawless fit while maintaining the thermal barrier’s integrity. The roof, clad in sleek .48 BMT Colorbond Screwdeck profile sheeting in Monument, gives the home a bold, modern look. To top it off, we installed elegant half-round gutters and round Colorbond downpipes, complementing the architectural vibe perfectly.
Our team took extra care to meet the high standards of this sustainable build, ensuring every detail—from battens to flashings—was spot-on. The result is a durable, stylish roof that not only enhances the home’s aesthetic but also supports its energy-saving goals. Sam I Am Builders and the homeowners were stoked with the outcome, and we’re proud to have played a part in this standout Geelong project. Thinking of a roofing upgrade? Let’s make it happen!
