Sharp Street

We had a great time giving this 1970s Newtown home in Geelong a fresh, durable roof that’s ready for the long haul. The homeowners needed a full roof replacement, and our team at Pro Flow Roof Plumbing jumped in to make it happen with our signature care and quality.

The job came with a challenge: the old box guttering in the center of the roof had seen better days, with a subframe that had shifted over time. We stripped it all out and rebuilt it from scratch, ensuring a rock-solid foundation, proper fall for water flow, and compliance with today’s building codes. The roof’s steep 38-degree pitch kept things interesting, but our crew tackled it with skill and precision.

The homeowners chose Colorbond’s Pale Eucalypt to match the back of the house, creating a sharp, cohesive look. We used tough .48 BMT Colorbond roofing, Truecore steel battens, and added CSR Bradford’s Resiwrap Sisalation insulation—a big upgrade for a home that didn’t have any before, boosting comfort and energy efficiency. The heritage-style chimneys, still in use, got sleek chase flashings for a clean finish that ties in perfectly with the modern vibe.

The result? A sturdy, great-looking roof that the clients absolutely love. We’re thrilled to have given this Newtown home a roof that’ll keep it protected for years to come. Got a roofing project in mind? We’re ready to help!
